In April, Comcast introduced the option to choose a five-year price guarantee when customers sign up for a new Xfinity Internet package. The nationwide offer is part of the company’s mission to deliver transparent pricing that is clear and consistent, and increase the value customers receive from its Internet products.

By taking advantage of Comcast’s new price guarantee, customers receive fast, reliable Internet service with unlimited data and Xfinity’s WiFi gateway included and the rate is locked in for five years with no annual contract required. In addition, it includes an unlimited Xfinity Mobile line at no cost for a year, so customers can stay connected at home and on-the-go.

Also this spring, Comcast upgraded Xfinity Internet speeds for more than 20 million customers, including customers across Illinois, at no additional cost.  Customers are benefiting from 50 to 100 percent faster upload speeds than before in addition to increased download speeds for most Internet customers.

The recent increases are made possible by Comcast’s fiber-based network, which includes more than 65,000 miles and more than 1.8 million Xfinity WiFi hotspots across Illinois. Overall, Comcast has invested more than $80 billion over the last decade to grow and evolve its expansive network nationwide, including $1.4 billion invested in its Illinois network over the past three years alone.
