Wheaton Mayor Philip J. Suess has been elected President of the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference for 2026-2027, beginning his second term leading the organization. Suess previously served as Conference President in 2023-2024 and succeeds Roselle Mayor David Pileski.

Joining Suess as 2026-2027 Conference officers are Addison Mayor Tom Hundley as Vice President and Winfield Village Manager Evan Summers as Secretary/Treasurer. Pileski will serve as Immediate Past President.

The Conference, a coalition of 35 municipalities throughout DuPage County, elected its new officers during the annual business meeting in April.

Suess most recently served as DMMC Vice President during the 2025-2026 year and has held several leadership roles within the Conference throughout his involvement with the organization. Suess has remained actively involved in the Conference since his first presidency, contributing to DMMC’s work and collaboration among its member municipalities.

Suess has served as Mayor of Wheaton since 2019, following 14 years on the Wheaton City Council. He was reelected Mayor in 2023, continuing nearly two decades of service to the Wheaton community.

As President, Suess will work with Conference leadership and member municipalities to advance shared municipal priorities, strengthen intergovernmental collaboration, and advocate on behalf of DuPage communities. His second term will build on the Conference’s longstanding emphasis on cooperation among municipalities and a unified voice on matters important to local government.

The 2026-2027 term will provide another opportunity for Suess and the Conference’s leaders to build on DMMC’s work while continuing to respond to the evolving needs and priorities of its member municipalities.

The Conference begins 2026-2027 focused on building on its momentum and continuing its work on behalf of its 35 member municipalities.
