The DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference Annual Legislative Reception and Dinner was held on January 24, 2024, and brought together 22 local legislators and over 130 municipal members and business partners.

At the event, the Conference presented the Governmental Leader of the Year Award to Assistant Senate Majority Leader Linda Holmes and Assistant House Majority Leader Barbara Hernandez for their work championing the Drones as First Responders Act. The Act allows municipalities to utilize additional tools to ensure public safety at community events. Their collaborative efforts with municipalities and dedication to legislative advocacy underscored their commitment to the well-being and safety of our communities.

The Conference also presented its 2024 Legislative Action Program, highlighting three legislative priorities: Restore the Local Government Distributive Fund, Sustainable Public Pensions, and Freedom of Information Act/Open Meetings Act.
